"PLAYING WITH FIRE" LUNCH - THE WOOD FIRED GRILL- STARRING MEAT
11:30 am - 1:15 pm
PLAYING WITH FIRE is the name of a new series of semi-hands-on classes we are doing in our backyard wood fired oven (WFO) and wood fired grill! Each class culminates in a sit down LUNCH, outside, weather permitting.
Today we are stoking the wood fired back yard grill to make wood coals so we can take beautiful pieces of protein and grill them to perfection. Each class includes a medley of three types of meats appropriate for quick char grilling, such as beef, chicken, pork, lamb, ground meat sausage, and maybe even rabbit. (Oops, no, just kidding about that last one.)
For example: Beef could be striploin grilled then sliced, flat iron steaks, flank steak, sometimes we do in house ground sirloin burgers ( served on slider bun); Pork could include ribs, pork loin, T-bone chops; Chicken could include breast with bone and skin, hind quarters, thighs, wings, drumsticks; Lamb could be lamb loin whole then sliced, lamb chops not dressed. House made sausages could be on every class for variety.
