We are hoping the weather holds like it was today–just a few more days through the holidays. And especially since Bob is scheduled to be on the AM Northwest show at 9 am on Wed. Dec 20th. Last time he was scheduled, it snowed and he had to turn around before even reaching the summit on Hwy 26. If it even looks like a drop of precipitation, he will be staying in Portland the day before to be sure he makes it this time. We hope you will watch.
Coming again this year is our FEAST of SEVEN FISHES-a typical Neroni Christmas Eve that includes some pasta and maybe even pizza along with seven varieties of seafood. The dinner this year includes Oysters, Calamari, Rockfish, Clams, Mussels, Shrimp (Cioppino), Salt cod (Baccala). It is $89 per person and we have a few spots open.
New Year’s Eve is full up but we have classes scheduled all week between Christmas and New Year’s – Wednesday, Dec 27, 28, and 29. These are Small Plates with Wines, 7 -9:30 PM. We hope some of the grandparents and otherwise “babysitters” for New Year’s Eve will take a night for themselves and join us for our Night Before New Year’s Eve, December 30, at 7 PM.
The gift shop is open as usual with many ideas for the “cooks” on your list. And for that last minute surprise how about a GIFT CERTIFICATE; any size and never expires!
New courses for 2007 are now listed on our website. We are introducing a new series with a new instructor and nutritionist, Grace Kunert-Laman, MS, RD. Grace’s series is called “LIGHTEN UP” but should not be confused with a DIET. This is all about life style changes and cooking for enjoyment and health. Other new courses will contribute to your enjoyment as well as lifestyle, such as Pasta 101, and a three month culinary intensive. More about that later.
Bob is writing an article for the Cannon Beach Gazette every two weeks. He writes on a new topic that usually contains some educational material and a recipe or two. So far it has also been a bit of a trip down memory lane for Bob, but the holidays brings out his sentimental side.
