Ingredients:
1 half sheet of Nori
Sushi Rice
Toasted Sesame Seeds
Filling Ideas:
Cucumber
Avocado
Carrots
Tofu
Asparagus
Spinach
Shiitake Mushrooms
Green Onions
Kaiware Radish Sprouts
Method:
Rolling Futo Maki
Place the sheet of nori vertically on cutting board.
Moisten hands and gently spread rice with finger tips leaving a 1 1/2 inch strip at the top with no rice on it (see sushi tips)
Pile ingredients neatly parallel to the short side of the nori
Pick up the edge closest to you with thumbs and use other figertips to "tuck" the ingredients inside while rolling
Roll sushi away from you and use makisu to form
